New W+K.com

wk_com.jpg

This big one launched a while back, the whole of W+K on the web (though a lot of works are not included). A lot of people seem to hate this site, but I think its pretty wicked. Mind you, my childhood was spent navigating highly sophisticated video game interfaces and websites built by Josh Davis.

Tokyo.Now.TV

We launched this site at the on air time of the final episode of our ongoing NHK segment entitled Tokyo. Now, but we didn't really tell anyone about it, ashamed of its rushed upload and horrible slowness. Now, W+K Portland has kindly taken over hosting, and it should be moving smoothly, so check it out. There’s over 40 minutes of content there.

The first video you'll see there was unfortunately not included in the TV broadcast, but a bonus web-exclusive designed and animated by our friend Ian Lynam. For those paying attention, Ian also did O.Lamm’s Bu-ri-n-gu za-no-i-zu video last year.

Fresh Push : The Third Evolution

Production of Hifana’s new DVD-album is in full swing. New lovely friends Oliver and Aleksandra were in Tokyo (and unfortunately back in Austria now) and helped us concept, direct, and edit some videos. These are some photos documenting just one production, which at this point was probably over a month ago. 8 mounted microcameras were plugged into separate mini-DV cams as decks. It was a bit of fun chaos. Can't wait for the finish.

Aleksandra and Oliver both have wonderful work on their websites, and also contribute to and edit a personal favorite of mine, vvork.com.

Back From The Dead

I almost made a concrete decision to stop blogging for good. Why?

(1. I am the busiest person I know (maybe aside from a select few others working at W+K) and just can't be bothered.

(2. I saw this a while ago and found that I was quite captivated by the entire idea behind it.

(3. I am floored by the blogging prowess of people like Momus and Marxy, while simultaneously disgusted by the fact that every possible thing in existence is expected to have its own blog / Myspace / Flickr / whatever.

(4. I can't think of any other bullet points now, but in addition I will say that if you have me on your AIM list you'll know that my status is perpetually “Always Away”. If you email me, unless it is pertaining directly to work you'll probably notice that I don't respond for some amount of time, if at all, and by then I will be confused and probably already have missed whatever social / fun event you were inviting me to.
